About This Event
Why do we lie? What is the cost of lying? Is lying to others different from lying to oneself? What might we make of our propensity to lie?
Join us as we Pour&Ponder on why we lie big and small, and why lying to ourselves might be worse.
As always, the evening begins with a complimentary drink, followed by a 45-minute lecture, Q&A, and open networking. Come sip, think, and connect.
Speaker
Dr. Rajeev Patke
Professor Emeritus at the English, Linguistics, and Theatre Studies department at the National University of Singapore. He has authored seven books of literary studies, and also collects, edits, anthologizes, and writes on the classical music of South Asia.
